Magnolia Audio Video
In mid-2011, Magnolia Audio Video, part of Best Buy, asked Acoustical Surfaces Inc. (ASI) to re-imagine their premier sound room’s acoustical treatments. Acoustic Geometry, part of ASI, designed a solution and produced a series of 3D room drawings to suit Magnolia’s parameters.
A proof-of-concept room was set up at the Best Buy corporate headquarters in Minneapolis, and the Magnolia team was so happy with the way the room sounded, they’ve started incorporating the design in selected stores nationwide. Here’s a section of Acoustic Geometry’s innovative design, and a photo from the Atlanta flagship store. Magnolia will also begin offering Acoustic Geometry and ASI acoustic products in premier stores in 2012.
